stability of control system and download pdf notes of part-6 and part-7

Hello friends
Now you can watch control part 5 on my YouTube channel.

In this video explain some basic type of signals which are frequently used in control system, which are....

1. Bounded signal
2. Oscillatory signal
3. Unbounded signal

Bounded signal  -
signal which take finite value at t=0 where is time, and each instant between t=0 to t= infinity , and also at t=infinity are known as bounded signals.

Examples-   unit step signal,  exponentially decaying signal

Oscillatory signal -
any signal which take finite value at t=0, and each instant between t=0 to t= infinity, it take finite value at infinity but this finite value is oscillatory in nature.

Examples - sint, cost

Unbounded signal -
any signal which take infinite value at t=0 or any instant between t=0 to t=infinity or at t=infinity are known as unbounded signal.

Examples -  ramp signal, exponentially increasing signal

                                  Pole and zero

Pole  - functions numerator polynomial roots are known as zeros of function.

Zero - functions denominator polynomial roots are known as pole of the function.1

                              Stability of the signal

. If the signal has got all it's pole of negative Real part or single pole at the origin, then signal is a bounded signal.

2 . If the signal has any pole with positive Real part or double pole on imaginary axis anywhere including origin then does not matter what are the location of other poles, this type of signal will unbounded signal.

3. If the signal has Pure imaginary Complex conjugate pole with other pole of negative Real part or single pole at the origin with other pool of negative Real part then signal is oscillatory signal.

Note   -
whether the signal is bounded, unbounded or oscillatory signal its depends on signals pole location, it does not depend on signal zero

                                 Types of system

Stable system - the system give bonded output for bounded input then system is stable system.

Unstable system - if the system give unbounded output for the bounded input then system is unstable system.

Marginally stable system - if the system give oscillatory output for the bounded input then system is marginally stable system.
