Daily Vocabulary for GATE 2018 #12


Now we are starting preparing our vocabulary for ECE gate 2018. we all know that vocabulary play a very important role in every examination so I recommend you to just add few words daily in your vocabulary. here your vocabulary refers to the word you use or you know so adding more words into it will really help you in building vocabulary .


          Now the question arises how to prepare vocabulary? It's quiet simple you just need to learn few words memorise it's meaning then have a look in it's synonym and antonyms and use those words in day to day life then it will definitely help you in memorising those words





1. Legitimate(वैध/कानूनी/न्यायसंगत)


   Synonyms :- lawful, legalize, appropriate, accredited

   Sentence - In all these cases the children were legitimate and legal heirs.






2. Strained(तनावपूर्ण/अस्वाभाविक) 


    Synonyms :- agonistic, constrained, awkward, labored

    Sentence - Allows the register to receive the strain in the direct line.






3. Undercurrents(अंतर्प्रवाह/गुप्त प्रभाव)


    Synonyms :- inclination, overtone, intimation, undertow

    Sentence - All the waters which enter the Skagerrak or Kattegat as undercurrents can be found at the surface of the North Sea.






4. Discontent(असंतोष/बेचैनी/नाराज़)


    Synonyms :- displeasure, depression, regret, unhappiness

    Sentence - But these views obviously could not be published in army orders, hence the discontent and opposition he was destined to encounter.






5. Mitigate(गम्भीरता कम करना)

     Synonyms :- alleviate, mollify, reduce, appease

    Sentence - Something may be done to mitigate the loss arising from the disease by selecting comparatively immune varieties from time to time
